boulevard in oakland. this is a developing story and we'll get more information out to you as soon as we learn it. a family barbeque in antioch brought to a skretching hault today when a 7-year-old boy is shot in the backyard. kron four's philippe djegal shows us where this happened. and how neighbors are reacting. the antioch police say the shooter was standing on this overcrossing. overlooking this backyard, and then opened fire on a group of people have a b-b- q. at around 4-15 in the afternoon, on the 200 block of william reed drive. alfred ragonton lives with his family across the street and heard the gunfire. police say the seven year old boy was the only one injured. shot once. he was airlifted to children's hospital in oakland. but police say his wound is non-life threatening. police say no arrests have been made. the suspect is still at large. but the investigation is still on going. ragonton isn't the only one frustrated with the crime in this neighborhood. a make-shift memorial still stands on the street corner where that homicide took place. just a few homes down from janelle

at the hall of justice in san francisco, kron four news. serious accusations could cost two oakland city council members their jobs. both elected officials are said to have used their power to influence city business. and as kron 4's grant lodes reports, this news comes after an oakland city auditor released a report.which details improper behavior from 2009 to 2012. >> reporter: the council members accused of wrongdoing: desley brooks and larry reid. the audit claims there were 14 instances in which councilmembers or their aids violated the city's charter. among the findings: both are accused of directing staff members to use a specific contractor for the oakland army base demolition project. that contract.worth about 2 million dollars. the audit also alleges that one of reid's aids directed parking officials to fix two of the aid's personal parking tickets. as for brooks: the audit says she interfered in the management and renovation of two oakland recreation centers. including.selecting contractors, negotiating contracts, directing staff to process contracts, setting project deadlines

oakland police are turning to the public for help. authorities are working on tracking down the suspect who shot and killed a san francisco man early this morning. kron 4's scott rates walks us through what happened. >> reporter: this call was about one block ago. at the oakland police department at this intersection at clay /ninth and ninth street. around 3:00 a.m.. shots were fired and this man was shot multiple times walking on this intersection. investigators believe that it was an occupant inside another car that shot at the driver of the other car. he was taken to the hospital where he died. hwe know that he is a 37 year-old man. we checked with the oakland police department and we are hoping for some type of witness that can come forward. we are offering a $10,002 reward. scott rates, kron 4. >> a big pay off for voters in san jose. tomorrow, the city's minimum wage will go up two dollars.that goes for both part-time and full-time employees. it also includes those working for tips. kron four's philippe djegal shows us how it all adds up. >> reporter: so, this is how it works. and

reward is being offered for the safe return of an oakland woman. friends and family held a vigil for angela. family members say it's not like her to disappear without talking to them. friends and family are searching the neighborhood where she was last seen. the only clue is this. it's not clear. but this is an image on a surveillance video. you can see the woman at the top of your screen. it shows mascalares walking thursday morning in oakland. >> at this point we've given out around 1500 fliers to people. and we're hoping somebody's memory will be jogged. we're trying to get anyone to contact us. >> they plan a hold a news conference tomorrow. and volunteers will be out tomorrow. >>> a disturb discovery at a san fransisco bart station a. homeless man crushed to death as he was apparently sleeping on top an elevator. it happened at 9:30 at the montgomery street bart station a man that was in the elevator says he heard a scream. not clear how the homeless man got into that dangerous spot. he will be publicly identified after his family is notified. >>> san jose business and labor

be seen hanging over antioch brentwood in oakland today due to a grass fire on sherman island. this is a startling sight to people and according to fire officials the blazes started around 3:30 p.m. this afternoon on the island located with the san joaquin sacramento rivers meet and also viewers sent in these photos of ash testing homes firefighters decided to let the fire burn itself out since no structures are threatened. tonight an investigation continues after a deadly shooting and a 10 hour standoff in oakland. the standoff started just after 1:00 o'clock this morning when police went to inspect the residents after two gunshot victims where hospitalized police traced a potential suspect to a home on 25th avenue the scene was cleared of 11:30 a.m. and according to police they detained several people for questioning but at this time it is not clear the shooting suspect is in custody. one of the victims has died and the other victim is in serious condition tonight. >>> the dome of city hall san francisco bay is ingrained for tonight. obviously because of st. patrick's day. t

to murder her boyfriend. this timeline. oakland high school 50 kron four is uncovering new shooter - jeremy goulet - as a career criminal.who repeatedly looked into victim's windows. here's a timeline of his run-ins with the law. goulet was cited twice in peeping. once in 1999 and once in 2000. fast forward to 2006 in goulet was accused of raping two different women while serving in the military. goulet was not charged in one year later.in 2007.goulet was arrested in portland, oregon on a seriespolice say goulet was peeping on a woman while she was showering. he's accused of removing a screen in the window, and the blinds. goulet had a gun on him during the incident. then in august of 2012 in goulet was arrested for peeping and prowling on a male victim. goulet was charged with public intoxication last friday. but earlier that night.a co- worker says goulet made toward her at her home. he was fired the next day.and detectives were investigating the unwanted sexual advances on tuesday new tonight at 8-- details. that some of goulet's past crimes happened while he served in the united states

of a man who is accused of molesting and trying to kidnap a nine -year old girl in oakland. this is surveillance video showing images of the suspect walking on the sidewalk. it happened on the 12- hundred block of 94th avenue. monday evening. police say, the man picked the girl up in a bear hug, touched her inappropiately and tried to carry her away. the girl was able to get away. the attacker is described as a latino male in his 20's, with ears that stick out prominently he has short black hair, spiked in the front and long in the back. five- feet- eight inches tall. and 170 pounds. the suspect description also matches that of the getaway driver. in a similar daylight attack on a 14 year old girl last november. also in oakland. in that incident, the victim was able to escape unharmed. >> jacqueline: this live look at the golden gate with visibility not that bad. as we see with increasing clouds south of the golden gate. further offshore some disturbance in the rain near eureka. already rainfall locally towards tomorrow. the increase with clouds and mild temperatures. spott

. francis dwyer is out of state and is still waiting extradition. >> oakland police say, andre taray franklin. broke into the oakland museum in january, and stole a signficicant gold artifact. franklin is accused of taking a gold jewelry box -- worth over 800- thousand- dollars. the museum offered a 12- thousand dollar reward. but announced today, the box was found, and the suspect arrested. entertaining. plan your getaway at discoverlosangeles.com the f-b-i has joined the search for an oakland man wanted for robbing a bank in pinole. 22-year-old gary fite junior was already arrested for the crime earlier this month. but mis-communication between law enforcement agencies led to his release. kron four's philippe djegal explains. >> reporter: less than a half hour after robbing the mechanics bank on pinole valley road fridaym, march first. pinole police arrested gary fite junior for the crime. he and his accomplice were taken into custody. booked into contra costa county jail. by law, law enforcement and the district attorney have to file charges and arraign suspects within three days of an arrest. otherwise, the suspects have to be released from custody. the pinole police chief says his department filed its report to the da's office on the morning of tuesday march fifth. he says the da's office then called later that day and confirmed charges would be filed. yet still, fite was released from custoday. the contra costa county sheriff's department says it had no other choice than t
